View HoursWelcome to one of the most beautiful and historically significant cemeteries in America, organized in 1869. Recognized on the National Register of Historic Places, Lake View Cemetery continues to offer magnificent interment space for all walks of life.
To this day, Lake View performs hundreds of burials per year - nearly two per day. With interment space available over the next 100 plus years, our Memorial Advisors are fulfilling pre-planning and emergency needs of families and their loved ones on a daily basis. In addition, grounds crews work around the clock to prepare for the various burials. An administrative staff supports the business of the cemetery, the operations of the Memorial Advisors, and the grounds and horticulture crews.
We emphasize that while there are so many famed and historic figures memorialized at Lake View Cemetery, our grounds are for all community residents to celebrate the lives of their loved ones. All denominations, persuasions, and economic walks of life are welcomed. In fact, most resting here are from the everyday world known mostly by families who remember them. Every family and every person is welcomed to Lake View - and that has always been the case throughout our history.
