General Information for All Tours

• Lake View is an active cemetery, please be mindful of active funerals and burials when touring the grounds.
• Cemetery hours vary by season and may be adjusted for inclement weather and special events.
• The James A. Garfield and Wade Memorial Chapel are open seasonally, 7 days a week, 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM.
• The James A. Garfield Memorial can be viewed from different vantage points but can only be entered by stairs. The Wade Memorial Chapel is accessible by steps or ramp.
• For your comfort and safety, please dress for the weather and wear appropriate footwear.
• Parking is available along the road in most areas, but please keep all four wheels of your vehicle on the pavement at all times.

Group Tours

We are pleased to offer guided tours, based on staff and availability, designed for groups of 10 or more people, either walking or visiting on their own bus or motor coach. All groups of 10 or more people are required to schedule at least 14 days in advance.

Non-School-Group Guided Walking Tours

Walking tours will be led by our dynamic guides and will highlight our historic landscapes, landmarks, and legacies. We are also happy to work with you to create a thematic tour based on your group's interests.

Tours are scheduled based on guide availability and last 1.5-2 hours. Based on your group's schedule, tours may include visits to the James A. Garfield Memorial and Wade Memorial Chapel.

Fee:

• Groups of 10-30 guests are $150 and include 1 guide.
• Groups larger than 30, please contact Adam Clemens, Special Programs and Volunteer Manager, for pricing and to schedule.
• Payment is due upon booking and tours are non-refundable.

Non-School-Group Guided Motor Coach/Shuttle Bus Tours

We welcome groups on buses or motor coaches. Buses are allowed in designated areas only and must be provided by the group. Lake View Cemetery has no transportation options on site.

One of our dynamic tour guides will board your bus and lead your driver on a tour highlighting our historic landscapes, landmarks, and legacies. We are also happy to work with you to create a thematic tour based on your group's interests.

Tours are scheduled based on guide availability and last 1.5-2 hours. Tour times may vary to accomodate visitors' wishes to leave the bus to view sites up close. Based on your group's schedule, tours may include visits to the James A. Garfield Memorial and Wade Memorial Chapel.

Fee: 

• Shuttle buses with fewer than 20 seats are $150 per bus and include 1 guide.
• Motor coaches and buses with 20 or more seats are $250 per bus and include 1 guide.
• If your group wishes to visit only James A. Garfield Memorial or Wade Memorial Chapel, registration and fees are still required.
• Payment is due upon booking and tours are non-refundable.

School Tours

We are pleased to offer guided walking and bus tours for student groups of 10 or more, based on staff and availability. These tours are designed for walking groups or those visiting on their own charter/school bus. Lake View Cemetery has no transportation options on site.

One of our dynamic tour guides will board your bus (or walk with your group) and lead your group on a tour highlighting our historic landscapes, landmarks, and legacies. We are also happy to work with you to create a thematic tour based on your group's interests.

School groups are required to register at least 2 weeks in advance and must provide their own transportation to Lake View Cemetery. We strive to provide an enjoyable experience for everyone who visits, and following these guidelines helps ensure a safe and meaningful field trip.

Groups of fewer than 10 guests must also schedule their tour at least 2 weeks in advance, though Lake View Cemetery will not provide a guide. No registration fee is required for groups of less than 10.
