Grounds Overview

Grounds Overview

Welcome to Lake View Cemetery & Arboretum. Over 150 years ago, our 285 acres were envisioned by our founders as a park-like resting place where visitors could escape the hustle and bustle of the city and stroll through the natural hills, enjoying the trees, gardens and fresh air.

Today, Lake View Cemetery is a certified Level 2 Arboretum with thousands of specimen trees, has a Presidential Memorial, a priceless Tiffany chapel, a popular hillside of daffodils, numerous points of interest and the gravesites of famous citizens and everyday people.

As one of the most beautiful places in Cleveland – and the country – Lake View is proud to open its gates to all at 7:30 am every morning, every day of the year. We’re supported by the generosity of those who choose to spend a few hours with us and by the families whose loved ones spend eternity with us. For those who appreciate our grounds, we thank you!

Please see below for specific information on our grounds, its buildings, attractions and gravesites.
