Classically Lake View is a series of chamber music concerts, under the Artistic Direction of Isabel Trautwein, violinist with The Cleveland Orchestra. Each performance brings together Orchestra musicians and exceptional young artists from our region and beyond for an inspiring evening of music in a truly memorable setting.

Michael Ward is a classically trained tenor with a rich performance background. He has been a member of the Singers Club of Cleveland, the Cleveland Orchestra Chorus, the Cleveland Chamber Choir, and the COTS Chamber Choir. In addition to his musical endeavors, Michael works as a talent advisor in the healthcare technology industry and serves as the worship leader at First Baptist Church of Greater Cleveland. With a deep appreciation for both classical music and community involvement, Michael is thrilled to share his voice and passion with the audience.

Mari Soto (violin) has enjoyed a rich and varied career as a solo, orchestra and chamber musician based in Cleveland. Maris was the second violinist of the award-winning Cavani String Quartet for twenty-four years. She enjoys performing as a substitute in The Cleveland Orchestra and Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra. Chamber music collaborations continue with her colleagues in the Pantheon Ensemble (City Music Cleveland), No Exit New Music Ensemble and The Cleveland Orchestra.

Isabel Trautwein (violin) joined the first violin section of The Cleveland Orchestra in 2002 after serving as principal second violinist of the Saint Louis Symphony Orchestra, a concertmaster of the New World Symphony Miami, a member of the Houston Symphony and of the Pacifica String Quartet, which held a residency at the University of Chicago. Ms. Trautwein has served as an adjunct at Oberlin Conservatory of Music and coaches frequently at the New World in Miami. Isabel is in her third year as Artistic Director for Lake View Cemetery’s Classically Lake View chamber music series.

Kirsten Doctor (viola) is an associate professor of viola and chamber music at the Oberlin Conservatory of Music. First-prize wins at the Primrose International and American String Teachers Association Viola Competitions launched her on a career that includes a 23-year tenure with the Cavani Quartet and concerts on major series and festivals. Formerly a faculty member of the Cleveland Institute of Music and the University of Michigan, she has been a jury member of the Primrose International Viola, Fischoff National Chamber Music, and Sphinx competitions. In the summer, she serves on the viola faculty of the Perlman Music Program.

Nora Willauer, D.M.A. (cello) is a freelance cellist and educator. She earned her doctorate from the Cleveland Institute of Music, where her research on groove and cello pedagogy received the Kaplow Prize for uncommon creativity. She performs throughout the Midwest and New England with the Bernhardt-Kowal-Willauer Trio and the interactive recital series, “Strings Attached”. She is the founder of Willauer Cello Studios, a competitive Suzuki cello program, and Resonance Coaching, a virtual community for advanced cellists seeking a health-focused musical reset.

Nathaniel Hill is a classical guitarist known for his refined artistry, compelling stage presence, and deep musical sensitivity. He is currently pursuing a Double Graduate Diploma in Guitar Performance and Orchestral Conducting at the Cleveland Institute of Music, studying with Grammy Award-winner Jason Vieaux and conductor Tito Muñoz. Since arriving at CIM, Nathaniel has emerged as a dynamic performer across solo, chamber, and orchestral settings. He has presented solo recitals throughout Ohio, the Carolinas, Kentucky, Virginia, and Georgia, earning a reputation as a seasoned and expressive artist. As a chamber musician, Nathaniel has collaborated in duos with orchestral instruments and voice, as well as in trios and mixed ensembles. In 2024, he was awarded third prize in the Open Division of the Queens International Guitar Competition, and in 2025, was named CIM’s “most gifted classical guitarist” for four consecutive years—an exceptional distinction. Nathaniel made his concerto debut at age 15 with the Piedmont Chamber Orchestra, returning for additional solo appearances in 2022 and 2025. He also performed as soloist with the Asheville Symphony at age 18 and was a finalist in the MasterWorks Festival Concerto Competition.He has played in masterclasses with many of the world’s leading guitarists, including Jason Vieaux, David Russell, Christopher Parkening, Colin Davin, and Rovshan Mamedkuliev. With a nuanced approach to tone and interpretation, Nathaniel continues to shape a wide-ranging career as a performer and advocate for the classical guitar.

Jonathan Moyer specializes in a vast repertoire from the renaissance to the 21st century and has performed throughout the United States as well as in Europe and Japan. The Baltimore Sun has described his playing as “ever-expressive, stylish, and riveting.”
In addition to his role at Oberlin, Moyer serves as organist of the Church of the Covenant in Cleveland and has been a visiting lecturer in organ at the Hochschule für Musik in Lübeck, Germany. Recent concerts include Bachkirche (Arnstadt), St. Jakobikirche (Lübeck), Ludgerikirche (Norden), Laurenskerk (Alkmaar), Marktkirchethe (Hannover), the National Convention of the American Organ Historical Society (Rochester, N.Y.), the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception (Washington, D.C.), St. Sulpice (Paris), Notre Dame de Bergerac, and J.S. Bach’s complete Clavierübung III at the German Reformed Church in Budapest. He has performed with the Boston Symphony Orchestra, Boston Pops, the Tanglewood Festival Orchestra, Richmond Symphony Orchestra, the Oberlin Orchestra, Apollo’s Fire, Quire Cleveland, Concert Artists of Baltimore, and the Handel Choir of Baltimore, among others.
At the Church of the Covenant, Moyer oversees two remarkable pipe organs: an E.M. Skinner/Aeolian Skinner/Holtkamp and Richards Fowkes, Op. 19.
Moyer holds an artist diploma in organ from Oberlin Conservatory, where he was a student of James David Christie and Olivier Latry. He earned a DMA and graduate performance diploma in organ from the Peabody Institute as a student of Donald Sutherland and Gillian Weir, and he also completed a master's degree in piano as a student of Ann Schein. He earned a bachelor of music in piano from Bob Jones University, where he was a student of Laurence Morton. He further studied with organists Susan Landale, Marie-Claire Alain, Guy Bovet, and Michael Radulescu. In 2008 Moyer earned second prize in the Sixth International Musashino Organ Competition in Tokyo, and in 2005 he was a finalist in the St. Albans International Organ Competition. He is represented by WindWerk Artists.
