With 285 breathtaking acres, Lake View Cemetery is the perfect place to spend the afternoon—or the afterlife. Stop by anytime. And stay as long as you like.
Pass through the stately double gates of Lake View Cemetery and you will see at once that it is a special place. Inviting paths wind over gently rolling hills, leading past numerous varieties of specimen trees, shrubs, and flowers. In Spring, this lovingly tended parkland blossoms into a pastel-colored wonderland. In the colder months, Lake View becomes a glistening winter wonderland, dotted with priceless art and timeless architecture. The grounds are a favorite destination for a drive, a stroll, special events, and live music.

We welcome those who wish to photograph our beautiful and historic cemetery. We know that many family members and friends of those interred, along with artistic photographers, enjoy taking pictures of our landscapes, memorials, geological forms, sculptures, architecture, wildlife and horticulture. However, Lake View Cemetery also has a duty to protect the privacy of the families of every person interred here. We ask that anyone with an interest in photographing specific memorials and/or gravesites seek the approval of the decedents’ families.
