With a rich family history at Lake View Cemetery represented by Boltons, Blossoms, and Paynes, it’s no wonder Tom Bolton chose to serve on Lake View’s Association Board of Directors. And serve he did. For 19 years, Tom lead by example with forward thinking and philanthropic generosity.

President & CEO Katharine Goss recalls Tom’s early contributions to the success of the Lake View Cemetery Foundation, “Tom saw the Foundation as a strategic, philanthropic partner of the Association and felt strongly that it should have its own leadership. Tom funded the consultant who prepared a fundraising plan for the Foundation, which was known internally as The Payne Report, named after his family’s fund.”

Tom also had a staunch belief that restoring and preserving The James A. Garfield Memorial was important for our community and should be a priority. Former Association Board Chairman David Ford, Jr. regards Tom’s great passion for this historic endeavor.
