View Hours“Hank Junod is a delightful gentleman and it has been a pleasure serving on the Board of Lake View Cemetery with him. Hank has made many important contributions to Lake View and we are grateful for his long-time service, his leadership, and his generosity.”
These sentiments offered by David Fulton, Hank’s colleague, are echoed by all who know Hank and have had the opportunity to serve Lake View with him over his 16 years.
Hank’s ties to Lake View go back to the Gilded Age. Many of his extended family members, such as the Mathers and the Irelands, are interred here. From the beginning of Hank’s tenure, he was a generous leader and extraordinary benefactor. Whenever a new project arose, he was the first to raise his hand in support. One such project was the road that traverses through Section 13, which was aptly named “Junod Way” after Hank’s thoughtful contribution.
Lake View’s President and CEO, Katharine Goss, reflects on Hank’s time on the Board and what made him such an asset, “I enjoyed working with Hank but more importantly, I knew I could count on him. He wasn’t afraid to step out ahead of the crowd and take the lead which often led to others following suit. He was always our champion outside of the board room as well, influencing others in his vast circle of peers to support us. Lake View is a better place because of his leadership.”
