Improving Water Infrastructure

Fundraising Goal: $700,000

Lake View Cemetery is the heir to a 100-year old water infrastructure, which provides an outlet for storm runoff from Cleveland Heights and supplies water to Lake View's 285 acres of land.

Our antiquated systems pose three areas of urgent need:

• Maintenance of the aquatic ecosystem required for the cemetery's two retention ponds.
• Storm drain stabilization in two key regions of the cemetery.
• Replacement of the aging irrigation system where water pipes have eroded and collapsed.

Investing in our water systems will:

• Preserve the integrity of existing grave-sites and allow for future developments.
• Ensure stability of water mains and storm drains which prevent flooding.
• Utilize bioswales for eco-efficient water management.
