Lake View’s expert guides are trained to lead tours of James A. Garfield Memorial and Wade Memorial Chapel, as well as walking and bus tours of the cemetery. As part of our team you will have the opportunity to provide a welcoming environment and rewarding learning experience for visitors through special programs and guided tours.

An excellent guide will have:

• Passion for Cleveland History and prominent figures in Cleveland
• Interest in the outdoors and leading groups of people
• Excellent public speaking skills and an engaging personality
• Keen ability to memorize facts and small details, and identify 'fun facts'
• Excitement around educating and telling someone’s story to new people frequently
• Eagerness to learn new information and seek out additional resources
• Ability to lead a walking tour up to two miles and two hours long
• Regular availability to work a scheduled time OR flexible availability to be able to lead tour groups at their schedule
• Previous tour guide or teaching experience is a plus
