Lake View Cemetery offers a diverse year-round schedule of educational and cultural events. All walking tours, unless otherwise noted, start at the Garfield Monument. To make your reservations, call (216) 421-2665. Please dress for the weather and wear comfortable shoes.

During this joing venture with The Nature Center at Shaker Lakes and LVC, we will walk along the Nature Trail as it winds around Dempsey Lake. The tour is led by a naturalist, who will discuss the surrounding plants and trees. Reservations and a $6.00 fee required.

Cleveland Municipal Housing Court Judge, Raymond L. Pianka, will guide us through Lake View, discussing some of the notable figures that shaped legislation and government on the local and national levels. Reservations and a $6.00 fee required.

FULL MOON & SEARCHING FOR 4-LEGGED FRIENDS

During this joint venture with The Nature Center at Shaker Lakes, a naturalist will lead us by moon light as we learn about the habitat of deer and the red fox, while searching for their signs. Reservations and a $6.00 fee required.


ALL SAINTS DAY OBSERVANCE

3:00 PM

All Saints Day starts with a walking tour discussing the many special people buried at Lake View; also at 3:00 p.m. is a non-walking tour of legendary personalities in the Wade Chapel. At 4:00 p.m., Rev. Ralph Fotia will hold a service of rememberance in the Chapel. Reservations, but no fee, required.


You can arrange a tour led by a volunteer docent -
normally scheduled April through October

A typical walking tour is 1½ hours and includes the Garfield Monument and Wade Chapel. Groups must have a minimum of 12 people and be prepared to walk for the entire tour. There is no cost for the tour - however donations to The Lake View Cemetery Foundation are appreciated. (email link) For planning purposes, please contact our Community Relations department at least two weeks prior to your desired tour date.

GROUP BUS TOURS
You may arrange a bus tour (your own arrangements) and we will supply a volunteer docent to guide your group for a 1½-hour tour. There is no cost for the tour; however, donations to The Lake View Cemetery Foundation would be appreciated.

SELF GUIDED AUDIO TOUR
If you would rather go at your own pace, just pick up a cassette or CD at the office just inside the Euclid Avenue entrance to direct you on a self-guided tour, which includes stops at Wade Chapel and the Garfield Monument. Buildings are open from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM daily, during April through October. A RENTAL fee of $5.00 is required for either a cassette or CD.

SUNDAY LOLLY THE TROLLEY TOURS
From June 28th - September 6th (except for July 5th), Lake View Cemetery will conduct a 1 hour guided tour of historic Lake View Cemetery, aboard Lolly the Trolley, with an additional 15 minute stop at the exquisite Wade Chapel. The Garfield Monument may be visited before or after the trolley tour. The tour starts at 1:00 p.m. behind the Garfield Monument. Cost is $7.00 per person.
Reservations required — limited seating.
